STUNT ACTION TEAM was founded by Goran Stjepanovic and consists of some of the most experienced stunt professionals from Croatia and Slovenia. Every member of the team is a seasoned industry professional with extensive experience on major international film and television productions, including The Expendables 4, Tin Soldier, Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard, Outer Banks, and many others.
Our work is built on the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Every action sequence is developed through careful planning, risk assessment, and detailed preparation involving all relevant departments. This approach allows productions to execute complex action scenes with complete control over the process while ensuring the safety of stunt performers, actors, and crew members.

Our entire team specializes in performing a wide range of demanding action sequences. We approach every scene with a clear understanding of the motivation behind each movement, its role within the story, and the internal logic of the action being performed. We transform concepts into visually powerful, emotionally compelling, and dramatically coherent action sequences. Every performance is a deliberate choice, and every movement is carefully crafted to allow the audience to feel the rhythm, motivation, and energy behind the action.
We dedicate significant attention to understanding the story and dramatic structure of the screenplay, allowing us to fully grasp the complexity of each action sequence. Understanding the relationship between performance, camera, space, and rhythm is an essential part of our creative process. Every decision, movement, and reaction serves the purpose of making the scene dramatic, believable, and emotionally impactful. We carefully consider how every element of the environment, pacing, and performance influences audience perception.

We are an international team providing services to productions worldwide. We offer the expertise of our coordinators throughout all stages of project development, including action design, planning, and stunt coordination. When working internationally, we collaborate with local stunt professionals while maintaining the flexibility to bring in our most experienced stunt performers whenever a production requires specialized action expertise.
Our international experience allows us to work seamlessly within different production systems, studio environments, and large-scale international sets. We adapt efficiently to production requirements, budgets, and creative visions, providing filmmakers with a reliable and professional partner for the development and execution of action sequences.

We offer domestic and international productions a unique approach that distinguishes us from other stunt teams in the region. Every project begins with a detailed script analysis, creative development, and the exploration of action concepts that strengthen the story and enhance audience engagement. Through action, we help actors further develop their characters and express emotion, while working closely with directors to create action sequences that support and elevate their creative vision.
Working with us means partnering with a team that does more than execute action - we analyze, create, and shape storytelling through movement. We transform complex and demanding sequences into believable, powerful, and emotionally engaging action. Our work is not only visually effective; it strengthens the story because we understand the dramatic purpose of every moment, the demands of each sequence, and the way performance communicates with viewers.

We believe action is more than visual spectacle. It is a powerful storytelling tool capable of deepening both narrative and character. When movement, camera, and motivation come together as a unified whole, an action scene becomes an integral part of cinematic storytelling - one that audiences remember long after the film ends. These are the kinds of sequences we strive to create on every project we undertake.
Our goal is not simply to execute challenging action scenes, but to transform ideas from the page into compelling, visually striking, and emotionally engaging action that leaves a lasting impact.
Our team provides comprehensive services in the development, preparation, and execution of action sequences for film and television productions. Whether supporting large-scale action productions or character - driven sequences, our team combines technical expertise, performance skills, and production awareness to deliver action that is safe, believable, and effective on screen.

Action Design - Our approach to action design begins with an understanding of the story, the characters, and the dramatic purpose of each sequence. We treat action as an integral part of the narrative, where every movement, reaction, and decision is shaped by character motivation and the requirements of the scene.
Through script analysis, previsualization, storyboarding, animation, and action development, we create sequences that support the story while meeting the practical demands of production. Our process focuses on clarity of action, movement shaped by character, intention, and dramatic context and the relationship between performance, camera, and environment.
Actor preparation, stunt coordination, and performance development are approached as part of a unified process. We work closely with directors, cinematographers, and production teams to ensure that every action sequence is technically achievable, visually coherent, and aligned with the creative vision of the project.
Particular attention is given to the rhythm of the scene, spatial awareness, camera perspective, and the way action communicates information to the audience. Every element is carefully considered to ensure that the sequence remains clear, believable, and dramatically effective on screen.
By combining action design, performance, cinematography, and narrative structure, we develop action sequences that contribute to character development, support the progression of the story, and strengthen the overall impact of the film.

Previsualization - Our coordination team is one of the few in the region specialized in the complete design and preparation of action scenes in music videos, commercials, films, and TV series, in both domestic and international productions. Previsualization is not just about planning shots; it is a process through which we show the visual pulse of a scene and its energy before the camera starts rolling. It enables the team to evaluate ideas, explore solutions, and refine execution so that the action is clear, dramatic, and convincing before actual filming begins.
Through this process, performers and coordinators jointly assess how the action works within the space, how the characters relate to one another, and how each decision shapes the viewer’s perception. In this way, the scene becomes a consciously crafted performance, where every action has its purpose and is connected to the story the film aims to tell.

Action Scene Rehearsal - Our coordination team approaches every project with a comprehensive, detail-oriented, and highly disciplined methodology. We conduct thorough location scouting for all shooting environments and, in accordance with strict safety requirements, design and prepare the entire action sequence with precision.
In developing fight choreography, we provide multiple visual interpretations and staging solutions, enabling the director, director of photography (DoP), and producers to clearly evaluate the creative direction and execution of the action sequence. During rehearsals with performers, particular attention is given to safety protocols, as well as to the actors’ technical understanding, skill level, and physical capabilities required to perform the specific actions with confidence and control.

Choreography - Our coordination team is highly trained in designing combat sequences and tactical movement for battle scenes, carefully tailored to the narrative and supported by clear conceptual solutions and meticulous preparation through to final execution.
Every choreography is developed with its own narrative logic and purpose. For this reason, we consistently focus on character development and a deep understanding of the motivations behind each confrontation. Through our approach and precisely structured choreography, we aim to engage the audience on a deeper level - inviting them into the story, enabling identification with the central character in conflict, and fostering an immersive emotional connection to the unfolding action.
Action Scene Coordination - Our team of coordinators has extensive experience working on commercials, as well as domestic and international film productions. We provide a comprehensive service in the design, supervision, and execution of action sequences throughout the entire production process, from pre-production through to post-production.
While we maintain our own team of highly experienced stunt performers, we also collaborate with local stunt teams abroad when required, ensuring seamless integration, high professional standards, and full alignment with the creative and safety demands of each production.
Our team consists of experienced professionals with extensive domestic and international backgrounds, gained through work on major film and television productions worldwide.
We approach action sequences as an integral part of cinematic storytelling. When character motivation, intention, emotional state, and the purpose of the scene are reflected in every movement, action becomes more than a technically demanding performance. Our objective is not only to execute action safely and precisely, but to create moments that contribute to the narrative and feel authentic within the world of the story and the characters involved.
Our coordinators work closely with directors, directors of photography (DoPs), and actors throughout the development of action sequences that meet the creative, performance, and production requirements of each project. The result is action that is technically precise, emotionally engaging, and visually effective, while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and execution.

Our coordinators develop every fight sequence in accordance with the story and its characters. Each choreography is tailored to the specific relationships between the characters, their intentions, and the circumstances in which the conflict takes place. As a result, no fight is ever approached in the same way. Every sequence is developed as a unique part of the screenplay, shaped by the dramatic structure, rhythm of the scene, and visual style of the project, ensuring that each performance serves a clear purpose within the story.
Fight choreography for film requires an understanding of character, relationships, and the circumstances that lead to conflict. A fight is not simply a sequence of techniques and physical reactions, but a part of the narrative in which every movement comes from character intention, decision - making, and the relationship between opponents. The way a character moves, uses space, takes initiative, or reacts shapes how the audience experiences the conflict on screen.

In the development of fight sequences, equal importance is placed on performance, safety, cinematography, and the relationship between action and camera. Choreography is designed in accordance with the rhythm of the scene, shot composition, and the visual requirements of the project, ensuring that every movement remains clear, readable, and believable on screen. The objective is not to showcase technical complexity, but to create action that emerges naturally from the story and the characters.
Through collaboration with directors, actors, and production teams, we develop fight choreography that combines martial arts, performance, and the practical requirements of filmmaking. Particular attention is given to the rhythm of the conflict, the dynamics between characters, the use of space, and the way the camera follows and interprets the action. This approach allows us to create sequences that are technically precise, safe to perform, and dramatically justified within the narrative.

When character, movement, space, and camera work together as a unified whole, a fight sequence becomes an integral part of cinematic storytelling. At that point, the scene does more than depict physical conflict, but conveys emotion, intention, and narrative progression through movement.
Our team specializes in fight choreography for film and television productions, with a focus on precise execution, safety, and adaptation to the specific requirements of each project. Experience across a wide range of action productions allows us to transform concepts into practical, clearly structured fight sequences that support both the creative vision and production demands of the scene.

A key strength of our approach is the ability to develop action ranging from simple fight sequences to complex choreography involving multiple performers and technically demanding environments. Every project is developed in close collaboration with the director and production team to ensure that each sequence is technically controlled, visually clear, and fully adapted to the practical requirements of filming.
Screen swordsmanship is an art of storytelling through movement, where character, intention, and circumstance are revealed through the way a weapon is used. The way a character handles a sword is influenced by the historical period, the type of weapon, social status, experience, and the circumstances in which the character exists. Different historical eras developed distinct fighting styles, and a convincing performance requires an understanding of those differences and their adaptation to the requirements of the scene.
Stunt performers at Stunt Action Team approach swordsmanship through an understanding of character and the world to which that character belongs. Weapon handling, movement, posture, rhythm, and the relationship to an opponent are shaped by the story and the personality of the character. This approach allows swordsmanship to become an extension of character rather than a demonstration of technical skill alone.
Particular attention is given to movement control, spatial awareness, and performer safety. Precision, trust between performers, and a clear understanding of choreography are essential for creating scenes that feel believable while meeting the safety requirements of film production. Equally important is an understanding of the emotional context in which the conflict takes place. When performers understand a character's motivation and emotional state, every movement gains additional meaning, and the scene acquires greater dramatic weight.
The combination of swordsmanship skills, performance, and on-camera experience enables the creation of scenes that remain authentic to the period, the characters, and the narrative of the film.
Action sequences involving police and military operations require an clear understanding of operational procedures, tactical principles, and movement within a variety of environments. The credibility of these scenes is shaped not only by physical performance, but also by decision making, team coordination, strategic planning, situational awareness, and the tactical thinking.

Action Skills and Combat Scenarios
Our stunt performers and coordinators possess the knowledge and experience required to develop and perform action sequences involving:
- Urban combat operations (cities, buildings, and street environments)
- Rural combat operations
- Open-terrain combat
- Close Quarters Battle (CQB)
- Trench warfare scenarios
- Close combat
- Tactical movement
- Team movement and tactical formations
- Weapons handling for film
- Police and military action choreography
- Operation of police and military vehicles
- Rappelling and rope access techniques

SWAT and Military Expertise for Film Production
In film projects that require SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) and military skills, authenticity comes from a clear understanding of procedures, tactics, and operational behavior. Realism in these scenes is not achieved through movement alone, but through accurate decision making, team coordination, and a disciplined approach to execution.
Our team includes experienced stunt performers who are current and former SWAT operators with more than 30 years of operational experience, as well as military specialists with over 35 years of professional service. Their operational background, combined with extensive experience working in film and television production, allows us to develop action sequences that accurately reflect tactical procedures, team coordination, and the operational methods of specialized units, while fully understanding the requirements of the camera and cinematic storytelling.
Realism and Cinematic Storytelling
This experience allows action sequences to be developed from a practical understanding of tactics, decision making under pressure, and the way SWAT and military units operate in a variety of environments and combat scenarios. Through close collaboration with production teams, directors, and actors, we ensure that each scene maintains a realistic foundation while supporting the dramatic and visual objectives of the project. The result is action that feels authentic, serves the story, and creates a level of credibility that audiences recognize on screen.

Approach to Work and Performer Preparation
Our approach is based on adapting SWAT tactics and operational principles to the requirements of film production. Through consultation, training, and scene preparation, we help actors and stunt performers understand the mindset, communicate and movement principles of special units. When performers understand the reasoning behind tactical actions, their movement becomes more convincing, and the scene gains a level of authenticity and credibility that translates naturally on screen.
This approach allows even the most complex tactical operations to remain clear, believable, and dramatically effective. Action is not treated as a demonstration of tactics alone, but as a narrative element that supports the story while conveying the tension and consequences associated with such operations.

Consulting and Cinematic Action Design
We provide directors, actors, and production teams with tactical consulting, weapons handling instruction, and operational preparation for action sequences. Our team develops realistic action scenarios designed specifically for the requirements of film and television production, ensuring that tactical procedures remain practical, visually clear, and compatible with the creative goals of the project.
Our coordinators and performers are experienced in working with firearms, tactical equipment, vehicles, and complex operational scenarios under a wide range of production conditions. This allows us to support productions in creating action sequences that combine operational credibility with the practical and creative demands of filmmaking.
Our stunt performers have appeared in more than
150 feature films and television productions.

Our stunt performers have been featured in more than 300 newspaper articles, magazine features, and television interviews, reflecting their extensive experience and recognition within the film and entertainment industry.

Our training approach is built on the understanding that every physical action on screen must have a clear intention and a meaningful purpose within the story. Through a structured training process, we help actors and stunt performers develop body awareness, movement control, and an understanding of how action is shaped by character, circumstance, and camera.
The learning process is not focused solely on technical skill development, but on building the ability to understand why a movement occurs and how it functions within cinematic storytelling. Through this approach, action becomes a natural extension of character and dramatic storytelling.

During training, participants develop the core skills required for film and television production, including on-set safety, falling techniques, screen combat, weapons handling, reaction work, action scene performance, sword fighting, precision driving, and a variety of specialized stunt disciplines.
The program is designed for both beginners and experienced performers, allowing each participant to develop their abilities while specializing in areas that best suit their skills and professional goals.

Throughout the training process, performers learn how to connect movement, intention, and circumstance, creating performances that are controlled, believable, and fully aligned with the narrative requirements of the scene.
Actors involved in action sequences often require additional preparation to ensure that their performance integrates naturally with the physical demands of the scene. Through rehearsals and targeted training, our team helps actors develop movement control, physical awareness, and an understanding of action performance in relation to character and story.
Our approach combines action training with performance, allowing physical action to remain consistent with the character’s emotional state, motivation, and dramatic objectives. This process helps ensure that action becomes a natural and believable part of the performance rather than a purely technical element of the scene.

We also provide individual training tailored to the specific needs of the actor and the requirements of the production. These sessions allow performers to develop specialized skills and prepare for the physical demands of upcoming film and television projects.
By connecting movement, intention, and performance, we help actors create action that remains fully integrated with their character and the dramatic context of the scene. The result is a performance in which physical action supports storytelling while maintaining authenticity and emotional continuity.

Throughout the preparation process, actors develop confidence and clarity in physical performance, as well as an understanding of their relationship to scene partners, space, and camera. This approach enables action sequences to remain credible while allowing actors to maintain character continuity and emotional presence within demanding dramatic situations.
The stunt licensing process represents an important step in the professional development of performers who wish to work in the film industry. Through a structured system of training and on-set experience, aspiring stunt performers gradually develop the skills, confidence, and control required to perform demanding action sequences safely and effectively.

Progression is based on the continuous assessment of practical skills, an understanding of safety standards, and the ability to perform physical actions within a film production environment. Through this process, stunt performers develop not only technical ability, but also a professional responsibility toward fellow performers, crew members, and the requirements of production.
Each stunt performer progresses through several stages of development, gaining experience and demonstrating readiness for increasingly demanding work. Only after meeting the required standards can a performer work under the same professional conditions as experienced stunt professionals on film and television productions.

Licensing serves as a recognition of professional competence, safety awareness, ethical responsibility, and industry standards that are essential for responsible work within the stunt profession.
A stunt double performs demanding action sequences in place of an actor, but the role is not only technical, it is also cinematic.
