STUNT ACTION TEAM was founded by Goran Stjepanovic and consists of some of the most experienced stunt professionals from Croatia and Slovenia. Every member of the team is a seasoned industry professional with extensive experience on major international film and television productions, including The Expendables 4, Tin Soldier, Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard, Outer Banks, and many others.

Our work is built on the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Every action sequence is developed through careful planning, risk assessment, and detailed preparation involving all relevant departments. This approach allows productions to execute complex action scenes with complete control over the process while ensuring the safety of stunt performers, actors, and crew members.

Our stunt performers are experienced in a wide range of action disciplines, including fight performance, weapons handling, squibs, sword fighting, falls, high falls, water jumps, fire burns, precision and stunt driving, operation of trucks and military vehicles, SWAT and military tactics, horse work, scuba diving, watercraft operations, swimming and jump into the water, rigging, stunt acting etc.

Whether supporting large-scale action productions or character - driven sequences, our team combines technical expertise, performance skills, and production awareness to deliver action that is safe, believable, and effective on screen.

Action Design - Our approach to action design begins with an understanding of the story, the characters, and the dramatic purpose of each sequence. We treat action as an integral part of the narrative, where every movement, reaction, and decision is shaped by character motivation and the requirements of the scene.

Through script analysis, previsualization, storyboarding, animation, and action development, we create sequences that support the story while meeting the practical demands of production. Our process focuses on clarity of action, movement shaped by character, intention, and dramatic context and the relationship between performance, camera, and environment.

Actor preparation, stunt coordination, and performance development are approached as part of a unified process. We work closely with directors, cinematographers, and production teams to ensure that every action sequence is technically achievable, visually coherent, and aligned with the creative vision of the project.

Particular attention is given to the rhythm of the scene, spatial awareness, camera perspective, and the way action communicates information to the audience. Every element is carefully considered to ensure that the sequence remains clear, believable, and dramatically effective on screen.

By combining action design, performance, cinematography, and narrative structure, we develop action sequences that contribute to character development, support the progression of the story, and strengthen the overall impact of the film.

Previsualization - Our coordination team is one of the few in the region specialized in the complete design and preparation of action scenes in music videos, commercials, films, and TV series, in both domestic and international productions. Previsualization is not just about planning shots; it is a process through which we show the visual pulse of a scene and its energy before the camera starts rolling. It enables the team to evaluate ideas, explore solutions, and refine execution so that the action is clear, dramatic, and convincing before actual filming begins.

Through this process, performers and coordinators jointly assess how the action works within the space, how the characters relate to one another, and how each decision shapes the viewer’s perception. In this way, the scene becomes a consciously crafted performance, where every action has its purpose and is connected to the story the film aims to tell.

Action Scene Rehearsal - Our coordination team approaches every project with a comprehensive, detail-oriented, and highly disciplined methodology. We conduct thorough location scouting for all shooting environments and, in accordance with strict safety requirements, design and prepare the entire action sequence with precision.

In developing fight choreography, we provide multiple visual interpretations and staging solutions, enabling the director, director of photography (DoP), and producers to clearly evaluate the creative direction and execution of the action sequence. During rehearsals with performers, particular attention is given to safety protocols, as well as to the actors’ technical understanding, skill level, and physical capabilities required to perform the specific actions with confidence and control.

Choreography - Our coordination team is highly trained in designing combat sequences and tactical movement for battle scenes, carefully tailored to the narrative and supported by clear conceptual solutions and meticulous preparation through to final execution.

Every choreography is developed with its own narrative logic and purpose. For this reason, we consistently focus on character development and a deep understanding of the motivations behind each confrontation. Through our approach and precisely structured choreography, we aim to engage the audience on a deeper level - inviting them into the story, enabling identification with the central character in conflict, and fostering an immersive emotional connection to the unfolding action.

Action Scene Coordination - Our team of coordinators has extensive experience working on commercials, as well as domestic and international film productions. We provide a comprehensive service in the design, supervision, and execution of action sequences throughout the entire production process, from pre-production through to post-production.

While we maintain our own team of highly experienced stunt performers, we also collaborate with local stunt teams abroad when required, ensuring seamless integration, high professional standards, and full alignment with the creative and safety demands of each production.

Magdalena Tadic: I joined the Stunt Action Team because I wanted to expand my acting abilities and explore the more physically demanding aspects of on - camera performance. I believe that stunt skills make me a more versatile actress and enable me to portray a wider range of characters with greater authenticity and credibility. I see this team as an opportunity for continuous professional growth, the development of new skills, and the chance to push my own boundaries as an actress. Mario Valentic: I joined the Stunt Action Team with the ambition of applying my athletic, martial arts, gymnastics, and other physical skills to the film industry, allowing me to broaden my opportunities for work in both film and television. In addition, the Stunt Action Team is made up of highly experienced professionals who have worked on top - tier productions and, most importantly, are genuinely great people who make every collaboration both enjoyable and rewarding. FIGHT CHOREOGRAPHY

Our coordinators develop every fight sequence in accordance with the story and its characters. Each choreography is tailored to the specific relationships between the characters, their intentions, and the circumstances in which the conflict takes place. As a result, no fight is ever approached in the same way. Every sequence is developed as a unique part of the screenplay, shaped by the dramatic structure, rhythm of the scene, and visual style of the project, ensuring that each performance serves a clear purpose within the story.

Fight choreography for film requires an understanding of character, relationships, and the circumstances that lead to conflict. A fight is not simply a sequence of techniques and physical reactions, but a part of the narrative in which every movement comes from character intention, decision - making, and the relationship between opponents. The way a character moves, uses space, takes initiative, or reacts shapes how the audience experiences the conflict on screen.

In the development of fight sequences, equal importance is placed on performance, safety, cinematography, and the relationship between action and camera. Choreography is designed in accordance with the rhythm of the scene, shot composition, and the visual requirements of the project, ensuring that every movement remains clear, readable, and believable on screen. The objective is not to showcase technical complexity, but to create action that emerges naturally from the story and the characters.

Through collaboration with directors, actors, and production teams, we develop fight choreography that combines martial arts, performance, and the practical requirements of filmmaking. Particular attention is given to the rhythm of the conflict, the dynamics between characters, the use of space, and the way the camera follows and interprets the action. This approach allows us to create sequences that are technically precise, safe to perform, and dramatically justified within the narrative.

When character, movement, space, and camera work together as a unified whole, a fight sequence becomes an integral part of cinematic storytelling. At that point, the scene does more than depict physical conflict, but conveys emotion, intention, and narrative progression through movement.

SWORD SKILLS

Screen swordsmanship is an art of storytelling through movement, where character, intention, and circumstance are revealed through the way a weapon is used. The way a character handles a sword is influenced by the historical period, the type of weapon, social status, experience, and the circumstances in which the character exists. Different historical eras developed distinct fighting styles, and a convincing performance requires an understanding of those differences and their adaptation to the requirements of the scene.

Stunt performers at Stunt Action Team approach swordsmanship through an understanding of character and the world to which that character belongs. Weapon handling, movement, posture, rhythm, and the relationship to an opponent are shaped by the story and the personality of the character. This approach allows swordsmanship to become an extension of character rather than a demonstration of technical skill alone.

Particular attention is given to movement control, spatial awareness, and performer safety. Precision, trust between performers, and a clear understanding of choreography are essential for creating scenes that feel believable while meeting the safety requirements of film production. Equally important is an understanding of the emotional context in which the conflict takes place. When performers understand a character's motivation and emotional state, every movement gains additional meaning, and the scene acquires greater dramatic weight.
